Braids: Week 3

So, I’m going on my third week with braids, and I’m hating it. This is my third time getting braids, and for some reason they’re really annoying me.  I’m going to keep them in until September is over, then taking them out as soon as possible once October hits.  I guess I’m missing my co-washes and just my hair in general.  Plus, this junk is extra itchy for no reason.  I tried using the sea breeze/witch hazel method, but that did nothing whatsoever.  I finally just washed it was watered down shampoo (1 part shampoo, to two parts water), and then finished with watered down conditioner.  I really want to do the crown and glory method, but I can’t find information on it anywhere.  People keep redirecting me back to the website, but it’s under construction, so that’s no help at all.  Sigh.  I guess I need to keep looking.  Until then, I’ll try to deal with this.  I think next time I won’t add synthetic hair, I think it will reduce the itchiness and make it easier to deal with in general (and I want to learn to twist my own hair). What do you guys do when your hair is in braids?  Suggestions are always appreciated 🙂
